Had the most awesome opportunity to read for a movie. Called up Dara and let her know how important my "call back get up " meant to me. Gave her the role info and she came up with this awesome get up.

I went in feeling like  a million bucks. And with that burst of confidence guess what....

Flux launched their amazing amazing woman's issue last night. I made SURE to go.

 Dara (creator of Mikinola) styled me in a knit throwover from Forever 21, blue bandeau from Mahina, high waisted black skirt from Forever 21 and of course ( since i've been working up a storm in heels heels heels ) we both decided to go for comfort with my most favorite combat boots.

Its always so much fun being around the people you love. The launch was so awesome I definitely had a blast. After the launch ( @ apt.3) we all headed to Crazy Box and decided to dance up a storm like crazy fools in a box... thats... crazy. I was definitely in great company last night!

you win some and you loose some but you are ALWAYS a winner when you wear suspenders.

Got a call bout another audition from my agent Joy. Some undisclosed soda company wanted us to roll up  "fashionable " so BAM I called up my personal stylist Dara ( creator of MikiNola) to gimme a good look. Polka dotted top w/ suspender shorts w/ nylons from forever 21, high high black shoes and sick shades. haha I always make sure to flip to my favorite page in my book: an editorial shot for FLUX magazine by none other than Mr. Harold Julian.

haha! "Oh shoot I need to put at least SOME color on my face so I don't scare the living heck out of him!" -I said as we pulled over to the side of the road to fill in some brow action. " Are you serious?!?!" said Dara as she laughed and snapped this shot. Then the adventure began. 

Practical Joke we played on the Photographer. Dara's mom had that hat for some reason and we all played it off as if we all thought it was an amazing piece to Dara's styling. Silas took the picture while Dara tried to keep a straight face as I practiced my acting skills. Haha check out Joel's face! 

Driving home listening to the coolest cd in the world and eating soy nuts and dried fruit :)

Photoshoots are the greatest. Especially when you get the opportunity to work with an amazing crew. I was contacted by a Arizona photographer Joel Contreras who shoots for Ford Models and Agency Az to   do some shots on the North Shore. Silas Stoddard ( in the pic directly above) came along to assist Joel. All of the photos above ( except for the very first one) were taken by Silas. His awesome vibes and awesome music made everything so much fun. 

Dara pulled some looks for this shoot and did an amazing job at it. The bandeau is from BEBE, Shoes Jeffery Campbell Litas ( black) , American Apparel Blue high waisted shorts, Black lace top from BEBE, and finally silly hat from mom's closet. This totally brought a whole new dimension  to the typical North Shore beach shoot.

Again its so much fun working with an amazing crew. I thank God everyday for my amazing job and being blessed to meet and work with awesome people.  I will post the pics from the shoot once I get them...but for now I thank Silas and his Iphone. :)

Happy Birthday Acid Dolls!

My good friend Cindy King of Acid Dolls hosted a party IN her store and FOR her store which just turned 1 !!!. Acid dolls has tons and tons of awesome everything! From accessories to shoes to awesome vinyl bags. Also adorning the store is amazing artwork(in store and for sale) by Remi Mead. Cindy also has her sewing machine right behind the counter in plain view...so when you visit Acid Dolls you may just see her sewing up a new design.

Above are the shots from the party taken by one of Hawaii's best photographers/my good friend Mark Ramelb. I attended the party with my wonderfully beautiful friend Lisa Tabudlo. Also attending the celebration was local designer Matt Bruening.

Dara styled me in a vintage "LIBERTY HOUSE" top paired with Betsey Johnson shorts and Jeffery Campbell Litas in SPARKLY SILVER. This outfit was so so AWESOME. It was perfectly balanced where the shine from the Betsy shorts complemented the super-dooper tall and sparkly Litas. I must have been at least 6'3 in those bad boys! Haha. But the vintage printed top tied everything together nicely to give off that disco meets Steven Tyler rocker babe. I thanked Dara profusely for styling this outfit the way she did..I felt like a million bucks!

open market morning

Open markets are the best. So much people and so much food! This morning was a lot of fun. I headed down with my friend Dara and shopped for some healthy fruits and veggies making sure to stop and smell the flowers. (Olsen Maxi Dress from MinkPink, paired with a few vintage pieces from Dara, Jeffrey Campbell Litas in tan suede.)
